The Rainforest Monkey Jungle

“When people are imprisoned and monkeys run wild” is the term to identify a tourist destination in Florida. No, it’s a “Planet of the Apes” theme park, but it is the mark of Monkey Jungle, an innovative zoo where you can walk 400 primates to preserve a free thirty-hectare can.

Monkey Jungle was in 1933, as an animal behavior researcher Joseph DuMond six monkeys in the wild. These six monkeys, the troop of monkeys of Java, now welcomes visitors to the Monkey Jungle and the nature reserve. Monkey Jungle is something special, this is one of the few reserves of primates in North America and is open to the public.

The first six monkeys are a team now numbering in the four years and they are the main attraction of the Monkey World, because they are generally qualified divers to hunt crabs and mussels in rivers and mangrove swamps. A Monkey World, you can see in a swimming pool and diving to get fruit to employees of the park.

The Java-Monkeys are joined by 29 other species of primates, including gibbons, monkeys and spider monkeys. A notable addition to the park is the golden lion tamarin, a small monkey of Brazil, which is threatened with extinction. If one of the small to large, visitors can also enjoy the antics of the adorable orangutans at Monkey World.

Plants Monkey World is just as spectacular as the founder has spent years collecting hundreds of different types of plants, trees and palm trees of the Amazon rainforest in South America. A special irrigation system keeps the plants (including the origin to a much wetter climate) is healthy. Monkey Jungle is an ecological system of life and even his enemies such as hawks, raccoons and black rat yellow.

The monkeys live in the rainforest and come as they want – the park does not have direct control over them. For this reason, the Rainforest Monkey Jungle is a great place for scientific studies on primates. Many studies have been done in the past, and some have received international attention.

If you act the monkey, as they would in nature, without wanting to see the United States, then this is the place to do it.

In addition to primates, Monkey Jungle is home to an aviary. Monkey Jungle and Wings of Love Foundation, a nonprofit organization, a sanctuary for parrots who have moved or are no longer maintained by their owners has created.
