North West France Resorts
The most popular resort northwest of France, including Caen area, formed by the waters of the English Channel. This area has an important place in French history – most of the region was part of WW2 and the Allied landing area filled with historic buildings associated with events in European military history of unrest. Beaches in the area of Point du Hoc is very sharp – a number of D-Day landing on here and so many young men died here fighting for the liberation of Europe during the Allied invasion in June 1944.
