The Beautiful Landscape of Berrow Beach

Berrow beach is actually a part of a seven-mile strip of sand stretching from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down. It has the second highest tidal range in the world and great plains and dunes. The beach itself is a popular venue for water and beach sports such as windsurfing. Hikers and anglers can also enjoy the beach. Sea anglers can find three hours of fishing on either side of high tide. Dedicated hikers, the well-marked path to the hill-local nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, which is home to an impressive colony of Lizard Orchid. This area contains the Berrow Marsh, a mixture of salt marsh and reedbed and homes for wetland species such as reed and sedge Warblers, goat, and Snipe. Berrow Beach has beautiful beaches awarded the Blue Flag of the villages in 2005 and is a “Grand Strand recommended.”

Decor Berrow Beach was dominated by the rotting carcasses of Norwegian barque SS Norns. This foundered on March 13, 1897 and were conceived when the water receded since then. The Sedgemoor District Council does not threaten to remove in 2003, indicating concern about the liability if any person by accident when, in high water, but so far nothing of the threat and the bar continued without interruption. These are the people closest to us, not a dive wreck in the original, after all.

Near the beach, the hills, there are courses available for visitors who are interested. St Mary’s Church is located on Berrow and date in the thirteenth century. Bell tower dates from 1801 and was made by Thomas and James Bilbie Bilbie family. Designed as an English Heritage site and my class listed building, the church was last restored in the nineteenth century. If after playing on the beach, walk around the hill and swamp, and visiting churches, you find that you’re hungry, a restaurant and cafe area offers an excellent selection of food.
